MARSHMALLOW FRUIT SALAD
1 large can fruit cocktail
1 (11 oz.) can Mandarin oranges
1 (20 oz.) can chunk pineapple
3 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. Cool Whip
3 oz. strawberry banana jello
1 bag mini marshmallows
chopped fresh fruit (bananas, grapes, strawberries) (optional)

Open and drain all canned fruit. If also using fresh fruit, chop and set aside in a bowl. Soften cream cheese in a large bowl.

Mix Cool Whip and dry jello (just the powder) with the cream cheese. Make sure that all of the sugar/powder from the jello is dissolved. Finally, add the marshmallows and canned/fresh fruit.

This may be served immediately, but chilling the fruit salad for 30 minutes to an hour before serving is best.

Good recipe. What about the marshmallows? Do you soften them or just mix them in at the end with the fruit?

You add the marshmallows in at the end with the fruit. Awesome recipe by the way!

sooooo good! If you don't have cream cheese use yogurt, thats what we did and it tasted fantastic!

This is great but I think you could use about a half a bag of marshmallows.... I ended up needing to add more fruit because I thought there were too many marshmallows.

I think using half the marshmallows is better. Felt like all I was eating was marshmallows. I needed to add more fruit which made way more than I wanted to.

I would leave the marshmallows out all together.

I made this with a few modifications: Sugar free peach jello, Pomegranate instead of the pineapple, Canned peaches instead of the fruit cocktail, 1/4 bag of marshmallows, Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, McIntosh apples, Shredded coconut. Turned out great! We will make this again soon.
