CRISPY FRIED CABBAGE 
4 slices bacon
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 c. shredded cabbage

Fry bacon until crisp in large skillet. Remove bacon and crumble for topping. Add onion, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper to bacon grease, stirring, until well blended. Stir in cabbage; cook over medium heat, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Sprinkle top with bacon after removed from grease.
