GLAZED FRESH APPLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. apple juice
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. apple, unpeeled & finely chopped

Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with apple juice. Stir in chopped nuts and raisins. Fold in apples and drop from tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees 10- 12 minutes. Remove cookies from pan at once and glaze. Makes 24 (5 inch) cookies.

GLAZE:

1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tbsp. apple juice
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar, and add salt. Stir in apple juice and add vanilla. Glaze while hot.
