1 1/2 qts. butter 1 1/2 qts. sugar 8 eggs 1/8 c. vanilla 1/2 gal. flour 1/8 c. baking powder 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 qt. chopped nuts 1 (No. 5) can low moisture date nuggetts Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar; stir in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder and add to the creamed butter mixture. Fold in nuts and dates. Spread on greased pans. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove and cool on wire rack; sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm. Makes 2 large sheets. |
