GREEN PEPPER CASSEROLE 
1/2 lb. lean ground chuck
Vegetable cooking spray
3 med. green peppers, finely chopped
2 med. onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp. chopped green onions
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. minced fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground allspice

Cook ground chuck in a Dutch oven over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Set meat aside. Wipe Dutch oven with a paper towel; coat with cooking spray, and place over low heat until hot. Add green pepper and onions, and saute 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Return meat to Dutch oven with garlic powder. Add egg and next 5 ingredients, stirring until well combined. Spoon mixture into a shallow 2-quart casserole dish coated with cooking spray. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until casserole is set. Yield: 6 servings.
