1 (16 oz.) bottle Wishbone Italian dressing Juice from one 7 oz. can Clemente Jacques mild Jalapeno peppers 2 chopped Jalapeno peppers (optional) 3 lbs. sirloin steak, cut in 1 1/4 inch cubes 16 sm. onions or 4 reg. onions, quartered 4 lg. green peppers, cut in lg. pieces 32 oz. Del Monte whole new potatoes 16 cherry tomatoes or 4 lg. tomatoes, quartered 4 (6 oz.) cans B in B whole mushrooms or 18 fresh mushrooms Squash (optional) Salt and pepper to taste 1 stick butter Combine first 4 ingredients and marinate at least 1 hour. Parboil onions and green peppers for 5 minutes and drain. Remove meat and reserve marinade. Place vegetables and meat on skewers, spacing colors apart, and using meat more frequently than vegetables. Salt and pepper liberally. Add butter to marinade and heat. Grill K-Bobs over hot coals, basting frequently with marinade. Marinade browns meat before it is cooked, so a hot grill and short cooking period are recommended for tender meat and firm vegetables. Serves 6. |
