YANKEE POT ROAST 
1 beef arm chuck roast about 4 lbs.
1 pkg. brown gravy mix or Lipton onion soup mix
4 sm. onions, peeled and cut in half
Hot water
4 carrots, pared, halved and cut in thirds
4 potatoes, pared and cut in quarters

Put meat into a 4-quart microwave-oven safe casserole. Sprinkle gravy or soup mix over the meat. Add onion and enough hot water to cover meat. Cover casserole with a microwave-safe lid.

Cook in microwave oven 30 minutes at medium. Turn meat over. Add carrots and potatoes. Cook covered in microwave oven 1 hour at medium or until meat is tender. Remove from oven and let stand covered 10 to 15 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
