AUNT MARTHA'S PEACH COBBLER 
1/4 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp. shortening
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat together sugar, egg yolks, and shortening with a few quick stirs. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to first mixture. Add 1/2 cup milk and stir to mix. Rub sides of shallow 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Fill bottom of dish with peeled and quartered peaches. Sprinkle with 2/3 cup sugar. Spread batter over fruit.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes for metal dish or at 325 degrees for 30 minutes for glass dish. Sometimes it takes 45 minutes depending on oven.
