RIMA'S HAM | |
20 lb. ham, smoked, with bone in Brown sugar (dark) Mustard (any kind you prefer) Raisins Cloves 1 lg. frozen orange juice (do not make orange juice) Red plum or cherry jam Boil the ham for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Take out and stud with cloves all around. Coat top with mustard, fairly thickly (for a large ham, 1 small jar at least). Put 1/2 to 3/4 of a box of dark brown sugar on ham and 2 to 3 tablespoons of jam. Throw approximately 3/4 cup raisins on ham and or bottom of pan. Pour orange juice over it, can be partially frozen. Bake for approximately 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours at 325 or 350 degrees for faster finish. Baste every 10 minutes until nice and brown and sauce is thick and bubbly. Serve sauce on side. You can also make this with a small ham (10 lbs.) just use a small can of frozen orange juice instead. |
