CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker devil's food cake mix
2 eggs, beaten
1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into prepared cookie sheet or jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. While bars are baking, combine: 5 tsp. butter 1 c. sugar

Boil for 1 minute and stir in small package of chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and pour over warm cake. For a variety, you may also add pecan pieces.
