Arrange whole graham cracker squares in bottom of an 11" x 7" x 1 1/2" baking pan. To cover bottom of pan, cut some squares in half. Set aside.
Combine in a saucepan: 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 egg, beaten
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Add: 1 c. flaked coconut 1 c. graham cracker crumbs 2 tsp. vanilla
Mix well. Spoon evenly over crackers in pan. Top with graham cracker squares to cover, pressing crackers slightly into filling. Frost with our favorite butter frosting. Chill and cut into bars.
