CHICKEN CURRY 
1 fryer chicken, cut up
1 lg. onion, chopped
Sm. piece of ginger root, chopped
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tbsp. salt
Pinch of ground cloves
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. curry powder
1/4 tsp. dried chilies
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/4 lb. butter
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 c. cold water

Cook onion, garlic, ginger in butter until soft. Add spices and tomato sauce and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to blend flavors. Add chicken and cook for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add water and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is tender. Garnish with 1 teaspoon chopped coriander. Serves 4.
