BISHOP'S BREAD 
3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine eggs and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add to egg mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into well greased loaf pan.

Bake for 1 1/4 hours. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack and cool completely.

Slices best the second day and freezes well.
