Can anyone tell me if this can be frozen ahead of serving if I leave the cherry pie filling out til I'm ready?

Having worked in an Italian bakery for almost 20 years, and at Wegman's for 3 years, I can tell you that I have seen cheesecakes frozen at both. SaraLee also sells a frozen cheesecake, so I'd say it's a safe bet.

I used to make this pie to take to church dinners some 50 years ago. There were never any left overs. My son always asked for it instead of birthday cake. Yum Yum Yum!!!

We make this recipe all the time for birthdays or whenever... Always super easy to make.

Instead of the regular graham cracker crust, we use an Oreo crust. DELISH! The family used to scoff when I served it with the Oreo crust, but once they tried it, no one ever goes back to the regular graham cracker crust.

I make these in cupcake cups. For the crust I use a vanilla wafer. It's a great way to make sure everyone's slice is the same size. Lol

This is a wonderful recipe but if you like a crust that isn't as sweet, I use corn flake crumbs. Just melt a stick of butter in a saucepan, add enough crumbs to press into the bottom and sides of the pie plate. Makes a wonderful, crispy and flavorful crust!

This exact recipe has been used in our family for many years. Our holiday dinners or family gathering are never complete without the cream cheese pies (we always have more than one). In addition to the cherry pie filling, we also use the blueberry, which is equally as popular. Both are delicious! We have also tried the strawberry and apple... good but not as good as cherry and blueberry. The colors are great for 4th of July celebrations!

Yes, Blueberry is just as tasty as the cherry. For a larger crowd, I double the recipe and put in a 9x13 pan or if you like thicker white stuff, I put it in a 7x11 pan with a graham cracker crust.

This is such an easy recipe and the result is so yummy!! I've made this several times and a couple days ago, I decided to try something a bit different. Instead of topping with cherry pie filling, I bought one of those frozen tubs of sliced strawberries with sugar and thawed it in the fridge. Then each slice of pie gets topped with the strawberries. DELICIOUS!! Tastes pretty much just like strawberry cheesecake!!

This is an awesome recipe! It's one of those that is so easy and yet tastes like you slaved for hours. I've been married for 30 years and have six kids, all grown now. I first found the recipe on the back label of the condensed milk at about 17 years of age and have been making it ever since as a quick but very tasty dessert. Over the years it has become a family favorite. My 4th son has requested it instead of cake for every birthday since he outgrew themed cakes. Thanks for posting this recipe... Just one thing I'd add/change... I put the cherry pie filling in a covered bowl and chill along with the pie..just tastes better to my bunch.

Thank you for this recipe. Eagle Brand had it printed on the label years ago, maybe in the sixties. I have looked everywhere for the "No Cook Cherry Pie" which they called it. Not to be found. Today I looked for cream cheese pie and wow! there it was. I've printed it out and ready to go. I ate the first one all by myself. Maybe I'll do it again. lol

I like this recipe a little more "cheesy" so I use 2 packages of cream cheese instead of one. I don't change other ingredients and it still turns out great.

Great, easy & tasty recipe.... My mommy had used these ingredients. Since the early 60's; passed it down to me and i'm passing the recipe down to my daughter who's 31yrs old. Our guests always go back for seconds. Thank you for keeping it alive.
