GOLDEN STROGANOFF | |
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut into strips 3 tbsp. butter 1 c. green pepper strips 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 1 (8 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz pasteurized process cheese spread 4 c. (8 oz.) hot cooked noodles 1 (3 oz.) can Durkee french fried onions In large skillet, brown meat in 2 tablespoons butter. Add green pepper; cook until tender. Add tomato sauce and oregano. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Add process cheese spread; heat until process cheese spread is melted. Reserve 1/4 cup onions. Toss noodles with remaining butter and onions. Serve meat mixture over noodles; top with reserved onions. Makes 6 servings. |
