PEPPER BEEF 
1/3 c. salad oil
1 1/2 lbs. lean beef (round steak
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/3 c. minced green onion
2 green peppers, cut into strips

Heat salad oil in skillet. Add beef. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, ginger and garlic. Brown strips lightly. Add onion and pepper. Cook for 3 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Mix 1 1/3 cups hot water with 2 beef bouillon cubes then stir to blend, cover and cook over medium heat 10 minutes. Mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water (add 1 tablespoon soya sauce if desired). Add this to other ingredients, cook and stir until it begins to thicken. Serve over rice.
