HEAVENLY CHOCOLATE BARS | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. melted butter 1 (5 oz.) size canned milk 1 c. nuts 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 1 (6 to 8 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix cake mix, butter, and 1/3 cup milk. Stir in nuts. Cover pan with half of mixture. Bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Melt caramels with remaining 1/3 cup milk. When melted, drizzle caramel over baked cake and sprinkle chocolate chips on top of caramel. Dot remaining half of cake mixture over all. Don't spread this time. Bake 20 minutes more at 350 degrees. Cut and cool. |
