OATMEAL CUT-OUTS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. rolled oats

Cream butter, add sugar gradually and cream until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour and salt to creamed mixture. Blend in rolled oats. Roll dough out on lightly floured board to 1/8 inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

When cool, frost with melted semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts. This is a fast and easy cut-out cookie dough and a break from the same old sugar cookie.
