SHORTBREAD CUT - OUTS | |
2 sticks butter 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar Mix well and chill 3 hours or overnight. Roll dough 1/4" thick on a floured board. Cut out your favorite shapes and bake for 15 to 18 minutes at 325 degrees. To decorate, dip into melted chocolate, frost with powdered sugar and cherry juice icing, or fill with chocolate cream recipe (below). CHOCOLATE CREAM: Scald 1/2 cup milk, cool slightly, then add 1 cup chocolate chips or coating wafers. Stir until chocolate is all melted and blended. Spread between two cookie cut-outs. |
