1 c. shortening
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend shortening, flour and salt like pie crust.

Beat together eggs and sugar. Mix together milk, soda and vanilla. Combine in order; chill. Roll out. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes on an ungreased sheet. Watch baking carefully so as not to let them get brown. Ice with confectioners' sugar icing.
