SOFT MOLASSES CAKES (EA) 
3/4 c. shortening (1/2 butter, 1/2 Fluffo)
1 c. Grandma's molasses
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten

Sift together:

3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. hot water
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add egg and molasses. Sift flour mixture into shortening mixture. Dissolve soda in hot water and add last. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
