TOMATO PIE 
1 c. white flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
1/4 c. butter

FILLING:

6 to 8 med. tomatoes (ripe)
Basil
1 bunch green onions, chopped

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

CRUST: Cut butter into dry ingredients. Add milk and knead. Form into pie crust.

FILLING: Cut tomatoes into thick slices. Layer tomatoes on crust. Sprinkle with basil and onion. Repeat layers - usually three - until pie is filled.

TOPPING: Mix cheese and mayonnaise. Spread over tomatoes. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
