BANANA NUT TORTE 
1 1/2 c. egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar + 1 tbsp. (packed)
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring
10 oz. graham crackers (crushed)
8 oz. pecans (chopped)

Grease pans heavily. Beat egg whites to soft peaks. Mix brown and white sugars, add sugars gradually, beat 5 minutes. Fold in flavorings. Mix crumbs with nuts, then add to egg white mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until crust is done on top. Serve with bananas, whipped cream and toasted almonds.
