OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
7 lg. eggs
3 sticks butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. white sugar
2 c. self-rising flour

Beat eggs in large bowl for 20 minutes or until they rise to top of bowl. At the same time, melt butter in a saucepan on low heat. Turn off after completely melting. Add sugar and vanilla. Stir well. Add this mixture and flour to the eggs, adding half and beating well, then half and beating well. Then add balance and beat well. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
