KENTUCKY JAM CAKE 
6 eggs
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. blackberry jam
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cocoa

Sift all dry ingredients together. Beat 6 egg yolks and 3 whites together. Beat 3 egg whits until foamy. Add the other ingredients together and then fold into the whites.

Bake in angel food cake pan 2 hours on low heat on 300-325 degrees. Line bottom of pan with brown grocery bag that has been cut to fit. Grease.
