KENTUCKY PLUM CAKE 
Beat together:

2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. red food color
3 eggs
2 sm. jars baby food plums

Sift together:

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. nuts

Beat together wet ingredients. Sift together dry ingredients. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients, mix well.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in greased loaf pans. Remove from pans when done and poke holes with fork throughout top. Pour topping over cakes.

Topping: Heat to full boil 3/4 stick butter, 1 cup powdered sugar and 2 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice.
