BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 to 1 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Sift dry ingredients together in large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender. Stir in enough milk to form a soft dough. Turn out dough onto well floured board; knead gently about 10 times. Form dough into 12 small balls. Flatten and place side by side in Redi-Pan round cake pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve hot with butter. Makes 12 biscuits.
