STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD 
3/4 c. butter
2 1/2 c. crushed pretzels (not too fine)
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
2 c. boiling water
3 c. chilled strawberries, hulled or 1 lb. pkg. frozen strawberries, slightly thawed
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 scant c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Combine butter, brown sugar, and pretzels. Mix well and put into lightly buttered 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. While hot, add to chilled strawberries. Cool until mixture begins to set.

Meanwhile, cream sugar and cream cheese and fold into whipped topping. Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled crust. When gelatin begins to set, pour it over top of cheese mixture, refrigerate until firm.
