1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. slat
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 c. flour

Cream butter, oil, and both sugars until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs. Stir dry ingredients into mixture until well blended. Roll into small balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar and press down lightly on cookie sheet with a glass which has been dipped in sugar. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
