FLYING SAUCER COOKIES 
4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 c. soft shortening
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
10 tbsp. milk

Start heating oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. With electric mixer at medium speed or by hand, cream shortening, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy. Beat in flour alternating with milk until blended.

For each cookie, turn 1/2 cups cookie dough onto cookie sheet. Spread out until 4 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on rack. Makes 12 cookies 4 inches across.
