COOKED DRESSING FOR POTATO OR
MACARONI SALAD
 
8 slices bacon
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp. flour
2 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt

Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from drippings and drain. Reserve 2 tablespoons bacon drippings, add the mixture of the remaining ingredients. Thicken. Then add 1 tablespoon mustard. Cool. Add: The bacon 5 hard-cooked eggs Celery Onion Potatoes (about 12) or 1 lb. cooked macaroni

Let sit for several hours for flavors to blend.
