COOKED GERMAN DRESSING FOR
SALADS
 
1 1/3 c. vinegar
2/3 c. water
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. turmeric

Measure all ingredients into a saucepan and place on stove at medium heat. Bring to a slow boil and boil for 5 minutes. Pour over prepared vegetables immediately, cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours before serving.

COLE SLAW
2 qts. shredded cabbage
2 green peppers
1 red pepper
4 med. onions
