FRENCH FRIED SHRIMP | |
2 lb. fresh shrimp 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 egg 2 tbsp. melted fat 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. cold water Combine ingredients, except shrimp; beat well. Peel shell from shrimp leaving last section and until intact. Cut slit through center back without severing the end, remove black line. Dry shrimp thoroughly; dip into batter. Fry in deep hot fat until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. |
