BANANA CREAM PIE 
1 c. milk
1/3 c. cream
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Bananas

Heat milk and cream to scalding to double boiler. Blend together sugar, flour and salt. Add to scalding milk and stir until thick and smooth. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile separate the yolks and whites of the eggs, beat egg yolks and add the cooked sauce very gradually to them, stirring until smooth. Then return to double boiler and cook 5 minutes. Add vanilla and remove from heat. Cool. Slice 1 large banana into baked shell and pour filling over. Top with sweetened whipped cream.
