JALAPENO CORN BREAD WITH MEAT 
1 c. milk
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, soft or bacon dripping
1 lg. onion, minced
1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 can cream corn
1 lb. ground meat
2-4 jalapeno peppers, minced

Mix milk, meal, flour, eggs, soda, butter and corn. Set aside brown meat and drain on paper towel. Grease an oblong casserole. Spread in layers: batter, meat, onions, pepper and grated cheese, then spread remainder of batter over this. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cut in squares.
