1 chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
Chocolate chips (if desired)
Nuts (if desired)

Prepare cake as directed on the box. Pour cake into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix the cream cheese, sugar and eggs together. Drop this mixture by spoonfuls onto the cake batter. Cut through with spatula to make a marbled effect. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over cake. Bake, in 350 degree oven, until cake springs back when lightly touched or when wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean.
