WINE CAKE 
1 Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1 sm. instant vanilla pudding
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. Chablis wine-- white wine that may be bought with groceries in McComb
4 eggs

Mix all ingredients for 3 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped nuts in bottom of buttered and floured bundt or tube pan. Pour batter over nuts. Bake 50 minutes at 325 degrees.

While cake is baking, about 5 minutes before it is done, mix: 1/4 c. water 1/4 c. wine 1 c. sugar

Boil 2 minutes. Put holes in hot cake and pour the wine syrup on hot cake, letting the syrup run around the tube and sides of the pan. Let cake cool in pan. Remove from pan. Very delicious and flavorable -- THE WINE COOKS OUT, ONLY FLAVOR REMAINS.
