CRANBERRY-APPLE PIE 
3 c. fresh cranberries
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
2 c. apple slices
3/4 c. walnuts
2 crusts for 9" pie

Puncture berries to prevent bursting. Add to water in saucepan, bring to boil. Simmer 1 minute, stirring. Combine sugar and cornstarch; add to cranberries. Cook, stirring until thick. Turn off heat, stir in apples and walnuts. Cool. Fill pie pan. Top with crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
