 Alex S (Virginia) says:
The combination of last year's apple harvest and discovering "Foolproof pie dough 101" started me making, rather than merely consuming pies. I had varying success with several of the filling recipes here, but this recipe in particular was the most successful by far. The method and combination of tastes of apples, cranberries, raisins and vanilla are perfect. This recipe is well worth bookmarking.
