RAISIN APPLE PIE 
4 c. sliced apples
1/2 c. dates
2 tbsp. corn starch
1/2 c. apple juice
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. orange rind, grated
9 inch baked pie shell

Cook raisins, apples, salt, juice and dates until apples are soft. Mix cornstarch with a little water then add to hot fruit. Cook until clear. Add orange rind. Cool pour into baked pie shell. Good warm or cold.

Servings: 6.
