GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/4 lb. sliced bacon
3/4 c. thinly sliced celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. celery seed
4 c. sliced and cooked potatoes

Brown bacon. Drain drippings and save. Add celery and onion to drippings and cook until limp. Stir in next 7 ingredients. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Fold in potatoes and cover and heat on low. Add cut-up bacon bits before serving.
