APPLE PIE 
1 recipe for 2 crust pie
6 c. pared, cored apple slices
1 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice

Fill unbaked pie shell with sliced apples. Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt and lemon juice. Sprinkle over apples. Trim under crust even with edge of pan. Moisten edge with water. Cut a few slits in top crust for steam to escape. Lay over apples. Trim pastry 1/2 inch beyond edge of pan. Fold under bottom crust, press edge with fork. Bake in 425 degrees about 40-50 minutes.
