OATMEAL DROP COOKIES FOR A CROWD 
Boil 4 cups raisins in water for 20 minutes. Drain (save water).

6 c. brown sugar
4 c. shortening
8 eggs

Add raisins. Dissolve 4 teaspoons soda in 20 tablespoons of raisin water.

10 c. flour
8 c. oatmeal
4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Place batter in refrigerator for 2 hours. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes, 325 degrees. Makes 150 large cookies. This recipe can be cut in half.
