SAND TARTS 
1 1/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 egg whites
Blanched almonds
Cinnamon & sugar mixed together

Cream butter with flour, sugar and vanilla together (dough will be very stiff). Roll out on floured board until 1/8 inch thick and cut into shapes with cookie cutter. Place an almond on each cookie. Beat egg whites and glaze cookies. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
