RAISIN - NUT CAKE 
1 (15 oz.) box raisins
3 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. cold water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. all-spice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. black walnuts
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves

Cook raisins in water for 30 minutes and let cool. Add the remaining ingredients and if mixture is too dry, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in tube pan.
