GINGER COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together butter, sugar, egg, molasses, and buttermilk. Sift together flour, ginger, soda and salt. Add to cream mixture and drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15- 20 minutes or until golden brown.
