GINGER SNAP COOKIES | |
Cream 3/4 cup shortening, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup molasses and 1 egg until fluffy. Sift together 2 1/4 cups sifted all purpose flour, 2 teaspoons soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, stir into molasses mixture. Form into small balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place two inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
