CHERRY DEVILICIOUS CAKE 
1 box devil's food cake mix (2 layer size)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 pkg. Dream Whip
16 oz. can dark sweet cherries
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. burgundy wine

Prepare cake mix per package directions. Pour into well-greased 10- inch tube pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove to cooling rack.

In a mixing bowl beat together the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons sugar and the milk until fluffy. Prepare Dream Whip according to directions; fold into cream cheese mixture and chill.

Drain cherries, reserving syrup. In small saucepan combine cornstarch and remaining sugar and mix well. Gradually stir in cherry syrup and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in cherries; heat through. Remove from heat, stir in burgundy. Spoon cheese mixture on cake slices and top with warm cherry sauce.
