LAUREL'S ITALIAN STYLE MEATLOAF | |
2 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 (14 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 4 c. Italian style bread crumbs 2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. oregano 1 lg. onion, chopped fine 1 lg. green pepper, chopped fine 1 tbsp. oil 2 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded Fry onion and pepper in oil until soft. In large bowl, mix together all ingredients except Mozzarella cheese and 2 cups of the spaghetti sauce. Spread mixture evenly in baking pan (9 x 11 inch is a good size). Pour remaining sauce over top and sprinkle cheese evenly all around during the last 10 minutes of baking time. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. |
