COCONUT CAKE ICING 
2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. white Karo
6 tbsp. water
Pinch of salt (scant)

Mix all together in top of double boiler and cook while mixing with hand mixer. Cook until it doesn't drop off the beaters. Let cool 5 minutes. Then beat 2 or 3 minutes more. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat in if desired. Ice cool cake. Then top with flaked coconut.
